The Saint Petersburg Pier
The Saint Petersburg Pier is a signature icon of downtown St. Pete. The pier area is 26 acres right on the waterfront. The pier has beautiful water views and restaurants for everyone, bars for the adults, and playgrounds for the children.
St. Pete Pier has many restaurants to choose from including Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille. This is a 10,000 square foot restaurant which offers some of the best dishes in town with Carribean flair. You will also find Fresco’s Waterfront Bistro at the entrance, Spa Beach Bistro, Driftwood cafe, Teak, Pier Teaki, and more.
Glazer Family Playground
As we had mentioned earlier, there are playgrounds for the kids. The biggest is the Glazer Family Playground. The playground has been designed with big fun in mind. You will find slides, swings, kiddie obstacle courses, climbing structures, and so much more.
There is also a splash pad for the kids to play on if they need to cool off.
Enjoying the Outdoor Space
The pier has a lot of area to walk around while enjoying the open water views. There is also a fishing deck complete with a cleaning station if you would like to try your luck fishing in Tampa Bay. There are many park areas and open fields along with areas that have a lot of trees, shade, and seating areas. You will find some great places to have a picnic if you are not in the mood to eat at one of the restaurants.
