If you love nature, you’ll love the Sunken Gardens. This destination is over 100 years old and many people come here to see the natural and exotic plants that make it so special. Sunken Gardens is a unique tropical oasis in the middle of St. Petersburg.
Many people often think that Sunken Garden must be expensive. However it is quite affordable with adults paying $12 and children under 18 years paying $6 for one day. They also have an annual membership for only $50 for individuals and $100 for a family. There is a large parking lot onsite and no charge for parking.
The park is open from 10 am to 4:30 pm from Monday through Saturday and from 12 noon to 4:30 pm on Sunday. The park will close at times due to inclement weather so you may want to check the weather report.
Sunken gardens is full of beautiful flora and fauna, including flamingos and other exotic birds throughout the park. In the middle of the park you will find a Koi pond with a bridge that is perfect for photos. Make sure to set aside at least two hours to fully tour the park.
